Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1153 PM CDT Sun Jun 7 2026

.DISCUSSION...

High moisture content will remain through today with only a few
points shaved off dew pt numbers starting Tuesday. This will help
bring daytime RH values into the mid 50s over the northern third
of the area and 60 to lower 70% range closer to the coast. Winds
will be light southerly thorugh the week. The high moisture, wet
fuels and low wind speeds will continue to alleviate any critical
fire weather concerns through the week.
