Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1127 AM CST Tue Nov 18 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure centered just to the east will remain in place
through Thursday. Surface winds will remain from a southerly
direction, which is helping keep low level moisture levels
elevated. These higher RH values and light surface flow will
limit fire weather concerns from that stand point as min RH`s
should remain at or above 50% through the rest of the work week.
Conditions look favorable for areas to widespread fog both
Wednesday and Thursday mornings. A low pressure system and cold
front will move near the area on Friday, but may not move through
the area. Higher rain chances will accompany this system on
Friday.
