Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
414 PM CDT Tue Jul 21 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Some isolated to scattered storms can be expected mainly west of
I- 55 today. Eyes then focus across the northeast Gulf where
Tropical Storm Bertha will be meandering before tracking west
along or just off the northern Gulf Coast. Expect both winds and
rain chances to gradually increase, especially south of the
I-10 corridor mid to late week. No critical fire weather
conditions anticipated.
