Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1128 AM CST Tue Nov 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure parked over the region will remain in place through
Saturday. Although today will remain dry with minimum RH values
falling to between 25 and 35 percent, the light winds in place
will keep critical fire conditions at bay. These light winds have
turned southerly this morning, and these southerly winds will
persist through early next week. This will allow RH values to
improve to between 45 and 55 percent each day through Saturday. A
further increase in minimum RH values to between 55 and
65 percent is expected for early next week. Rain chances will
also increase slightly by Sunday and Monday as a weak low
pressure system passes well to the north of the area.
