Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1227 AM CDT Sun Aug 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Rain chances will be considerably lower for most of the area
north of Interstate 10 today and Monday as a frontal boundary
drifts offshore. Afternoon relative humidities will be in the
50 to 60 percent range near and to the north of the Interstate
10 and 12 corridors both today and Monday, and 60 to 65 percent
to the south of that. Winds are expected to remain below 15 mph
outside of thunderstorms, which will limit any fire weather
concerns.
