.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will persist through the week with near zero rain
chances through the entire forecast period. A gradual daytime
warming trend will continue through the weekend, but dewpoints
will not see much recovery. This will continue to result in a
general downward trend in afternoon relative humidity values
through the workweek. Expect relative humidity to fall to below
30 percent across much of the northern half of the area with the
low values spreading across even most southern areas by Thursday
or Friday. Though lighter winds will keep us below red flag
warning criteria, there will still be at least some potential for
fast fire development owing to the low relative humidity and
drier than normal fuels across most of the area. A Fire Danger
Statement (SPS) has been issued to highlight this concern.
