.DISCUSSION...
A Gulf low will approach the area later today, bringing
widespread showers and a few embedded thunderstorms to the area
through early Tuesday morning. Rainfall totals are generally
forecast in the 0.5-1 inch range, with locally higher amounts
possible wherever thunderstorms occur. Drier air will move into
the region Tuesday through Wednesday, with afternoon relative
humidity values falling into the 45-55 percent range Wednesday
afternoon. The next system approaches the area Thursday bringing
another round of rain and thunderstorms through Friday night.
Current rainfall totals with this second system are generally
forecast in the 2-3 inch range, but these totals will continue to
be refined over the coming days.
