...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CDT
THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will remain in control of the weather through today
with warmer than normal and humid conditions persisting. A weak
easterly wave will move through the northern Gulf tonight into
Wednesday bringing a high chance of showers and storms to the
area. Going into the second half of the work week, high pressure
begins to build back into the area with a typical summertime
pattern of diurnally forced convection returning. Fog is not
expected to be a concern.

Specific Discussion

- Discussion on the chances of fog tonight through the morning.

Fog is not expected tonight through tomorrow morning.

- Possibility and timing of a sea breeze

Winds from the north at 5mph will dominate conditions for most
of the period, but a light sea breeze is expected this afternoon
which will dampen the speed to near calm with variable direction.

- Possibility and timing of thunderstorms

Thunderstorm chances are less than 10% this morning. Chances
for thunderstorms increase in the afternoon to 30% through the
evening hours and then decrease to 10-20% overnight. It is
possible that a few storms may produce isolated damaging wind
gusts over 60 mph, small hail, and isolated flash flooding.
