.DISCUSSION...
Light and variable winds will be in place through the overnight hours.
The prevailing transport wind for the smoke plume will be from the south
and southwest through the evening hours. Late tonight, transport winds
will shift to the northwest as a weak frontal boundary slips through.
Wind speeds will be very light at around 3 mph or less for much of the
night. The front will push south of the incident site by tomorrow. This
will result in lower rain chances and a north-northwest surface wind that will
increase to around 5 mph by the afternoon hours. The transport winds for
the smoke plume will be from the north at around 5 knots through the day.
