.DISCUSSION...
A broad area of high pressure centered over the northern Gulf will
keep a persistent light onshore flow of 5 to 10 knots in place
through Tuesday, though the sea breeze will lead to some variability
in wind direction each afternoon. A weak cold front will stall as
it slides into the northern Gulf Tuesday. Depending on exactly where
the front stalls, winds will likely either become light and variable
or, if the front makes it into the Gulf, become northeasterly 10-15
knots. Any offshore winds will be short lived. By Thursday and Friday
winds will again become southeasterly as a broad area of low pressure
begins to form over the central Gulf.
