.DISCUSSION...
We are seeing much drier conditions this afternoon compared to
the last few days. However, that doesn`t mean we are rain free.
Showers and storms are ongoing across portions of coastal
southeast Louisiana. Min RH values this afternoon are ranging
from near 80% over much of the River Parishes and near 50% across
portions of southwest and coastal Mississippi. Easterly winds
have increased across the region this afternoon with a few gusts
up to 20-25 mph possible. Despite the higher winds, RH values and
wet fuels will keep critical fire weather conditions in check.
There is the possibility of locally heavy rain Friday through
Saturday as tropical moisture begins to push inland associated
with a weak tropical wave over the central and northern Gulf.
.QUESTIONS...
1) please update probability and duration of fog Thursday night into
Friday morning
Not expecting fog in the vicinity tonight into early Friday morning.
2) when will rain be expected on site tomorrow?
Looks to be the best time between 10AM-8PM, with peak best timing
between noon and 6PM mainly in the form of passing showers coming
off the Gulf. It wont be a consistent rain, but pass showers or a
few storms can be expected in the time window.
