A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
Mississippi Sound...
At 411 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an outflow boundary, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This boundary of gusty winds
was located along a line extending from near Biloxi to near East Fowl
River Bridge, moving south at 20 knots.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots and
higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this
activity passes.
This an outflow boundary will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when this activity reaches the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
these storms arrive.
Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
