A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Maurepas...

At 550 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an outflow boundary, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This boundary of gusty winds
was located along a line extending from The Mid Point Of The Causeway
Bridge to 6 nm southwest of Lake Pontchartrain/Lake Maurepas to 6 nm
north of Kenner to 9 nm south of Manchac to 7 nm southeast of Lake
Maurepas, moving south at 25 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots and
higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this
activity passes.

This an outflow boundary will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when this activity reaches the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
these storms arrive.
