A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Maurepas...

At 322 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 nm south of
Lake Maurepas to Kenner, moving northeast at 10 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should
seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
