PONTCHARTRAIN...

  Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Maurepas...

At 136 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This
cluster of thunderstorms is generally located over Mandeville, moving
south at 10 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher
waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
