The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chandeleur Sound...
  Lake Borgne...
  Mississippi Sound...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 517 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms was located along
  a line extending from near Rigolets to 12 nm west of Yscloskey,
  moving east at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cat Island, Yscloskey, Lake Borgne, Pass Christian, and Rigolets.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong winds will be dangerous for boaters or anyone near the water.
Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Seek shelter or move
to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
