TERREBONNE, SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON, SOUTHEASTERN LAFOURCHE AND WEST
CENTRAL PLAQUEMINES PARISHES THROUGH 1015 AM CDT
...

At 946 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas near Dulac, or 17
miles south of Houma, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Chauvin, Dulac, Golden Meadow, Cut Off, Galliano, Port Fourchon,
Tambour Bay Buoy, Pointe A La Hache, Grand Isle, Larose, Montegut,
Lumcon Center Buoy, Leeville, Cocodrie, Port Sulphur, and Houma.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
southeastern Louisiana.
