SOUTHEASTERN HANCOCK AND SOUTHWESTERN JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 915 PM
CDT
...

At 812 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas
along a line extending from near Waveland to near Long Beach to 6
miles southwest of Gulf Park Estates. These storms were nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Bay St. Louis, Waveland,
St. Martin, Diamondhead, D`iberville, Shoreline Park, Gulf Hills,
Gulf Park Estates, and Gulfport Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 29 and 31, and
between mile markers 55 and 56.
 Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 3.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors or to safe harbor and report
your sighting to the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in New Orleans.
