...
At 404 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Kentwood to near
Wilmer. Movement was west at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Amite City, Kentwood, Roseland, Wilmer, and Tangipahoa.
This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 51 and
61.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
