...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN ST.
BERNARD PARISH THROUGH 445 PM CDT
...

At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas 14 miles east of
Shell Beach, or 28 miles south of Waveland, moving southeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern St.
Bernard Parish.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
