...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ST. TAMMANY
PARISH THROUGH 345 PM CDT
...

At 318 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pearl River, or 9 miles northwest of Slidell, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Slidell, Pearl River, Lacombe, and Slidell Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 75 and 79.
 Interstate 59 in Louisiana near mile marker 4.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
southeastern Louisiana.
