...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF ST. JOHN THE
BAPTIST, NORTHEASTERN ST. JAMES, NORTHWESTERN ST. CHARLES AND SOUTH
CENTRAL TANGIPAHOA PARISHES THROUGH 430 PM CDT
...

At 346 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Montz, or over Laplace, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Reserve, Hahnville, Laplace, Killona, Norco, Montz, Edgard,
Garyville, Destrehan, Taft, New Sarpy, St. Rose, Ama, and Luling.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 196 and 221.
 Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 22.
 Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
