.DISCUSSION...
(Today through Sunday)

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: The area will be under a dry southwest
flow aloft today through Wednesday. Conditions will generally be
dry, with light winds except for Central Nevada. Winds across White
Pine County will be out of the southwest near 20 mph, with gusts
near 35 mph each afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s for Tuesday and
warming into the 70s and 80s Wednesday afternoon. Overnight lows
will be in the 30s and 40s.

By Thursday and Friday, all models are depicting an upper level
trough diving to the south. This will bring breezy afternoon winds
with highs in the 70s and 80s. At this time, the airmass is
anticipated to remain on the dry side. Overnight lows will be in the
30s.

On Saturday and Sunday, expect continued dry conditions, with highs
in the 70s and 80s and lows in the 30s and 40s.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: No changes were made to the NBM
forecast. Confidence is high regarding unseasonably cool
temperatures today. Moderate to high confidence exists Wednesday and
Thursday as temperatures gradually warm, climbing to at or just
above normal conditions.

.AVIATION...
Look for VFR conditions at all terminals over the next 24 hour
period. Much lighter winds expected at all terminals this afternoon
and this evening.

.FIRE WEATHER...
High temperatures throughout Northern and Central Nevada this
afternoon will be around five degrees below normal for this time of
year. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected in Central
Nevada Tuesday through Thursday due to southwest wind gusts near 35
mph and minimum relative humidity values as low as nine percent. Dry
weather will persist for at least the next several days.
