.DISCUSSION...
(Tonight through next Thursday)

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Skies are clear at this time across
northern and central Nevada this morning. This is due to an upper
level ridge sitting over southern Nevada and will be slowly
moving east today. The feature is forecast to remain over the
southwestern United States through the upcoming weekend. High
temperatures this afternoon and through the weekend will
generally be in the 80s. with lows in the 40s. Record to near
record high temperatures are possible across all five climate
locations for the upcoming weekend.

Heights will fall slightly as a weak upper trough tries to work
its way east on Monday. Slightly cooler temperatures expected for
that afternoon, but highs will still be well above normal with
parts of northern Nevada seeing near record temperatures. Tuesday
and through the rest of the week, temperatures remain mainly in
the 70s and 80s for northern and central Nevada with lows in the
40s.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: No changes were made to the NBM
grids at this time. High confidence continues with the
unseasonably warm temperatures Friday and over the weekend.
High confidence with respect to the above normal temperatures
through next week.

.AVIATION...

VFR conditions will continue across all terminals through the
next 24 hours. Winds will be light, staying below 10 knots.

.FIRE WEATHER...

No elevated fire weather concerns during the upcoming forecast
period. High pressure will continue to keep above normal
temperatures over all fire weather zones with unseasonably warm
temperatures today and through next week. Warmest temperatures
expected today through the weekend reaching to near record levels.
Dry weather conditions will also persist with minimum relative
humidity values decreasing to the single digits during the
afternoon; winds are expected to remain light.
