WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: An Eastern Pacific upper-level area of
low pressure will move inland over Northern California this
afternoon. High temperatures throughout Northern and Central
Nevada this afternoon will be two to four degrees below normal for
this time of year. The aforementioned cyclone aloft will progress
eastward across the forecast area this evening into Wednesday
morning, resulting in a chance of light precipitation. Snow
levels will start at around 7,000 feet this evening, before
dropping to about 5,500 feet tonight. The majority of this light
precipitation will fall tonight.

A ridge of high pressure will build northward across the Silver
State Thursday through Monday. As a result, dry weather is
expected in Northern and Central Nevada. A warming trend is
anticipated Thursday through Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, high
temperatures across Northern and Central Nevada will be six to
eight degrees above seasonal values.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High forecast confidence
regarding light precipitation in parts of Northern and Central
Nevada this evening through Wednesday morning. High forecast
confidence in a warming trend Thursday through Sunday. Moderate
forecast confidence in dry weather Thursday through at least
Monday. No deviations from the NBM model output.
