  Humboldt River At Comus affecting Humboldt County.

.The Humboldt River at Comus is expected to remain in action stage
today, then likely lower below action stage on Friday.

For the Lower Humboldt...including Comus...elevated river levels are
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Elevated river flows due to seasonal snowmelt.

* WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, Monitoring Stage. Some very minor flooding
  occurs at scattered locations along the reach. No flooding occurs
  in Winnemucca.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:15 AM PDT Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.7
    feet early this morning.
  - Action stage is 8.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
