.DISCUSSION...Moisture over the area continues to be the catalyst
for afternoon thunderstorm activity though model guidance has
backed off on moisture values slightly. Thunderstorm activity over
western Elko county on Thursday will initiate by 1400 and be more
dry than wet before diminishing after sunset. Friday the setup is
similar, though CWR in the area is less than what is forecast for
Thursday. Storm motion will be generally west to east but with
light background winds motion will be fairly slow both afternoons.

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (75-85 percent). Isolated showers
                    and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Max temperature.....Around 80.
Min humidity........24 percent.

 Slope/valley.......Northwest winds 5 to 9 mph. Gusty and erratic
                    winds expected near thunderstorms in the
                    afternoon.
