...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL ELKO AND NORTH
CENTRAL EUREKA COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM PDT...

At 525 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles northwest of Carlin to near Palisade
to near Pine Valley. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Brief heavy rainfall along with gusty winds could knock
         down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Elko, Carlin, South Fork, Pine Valley, Spring Creek, Palisade, Adobe
Summit, Lamoille Summit, Emigrant Mine, and South Area Mine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
