Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.3 inches over the mid Atlantic States will continue to exit tonight as a low pressure trough around 29.5 approaches from the Northern Plains. Winds will become southerly Friday and increase Friday night. The low will strengthen to 29.4 inches as it crosses Lake Superior Saturday morning. West to northwest gales are looking more likely later Saturday into Sunday behind the low and associated cold front. The gales look lower-end, below 40 kt, and would be along the east half of Lake Michigan.
