149 FZUS63 KMKX 141313 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 813 AM CDT Fri Aug 14 2026 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Multiple rounds of storms are expected to cross the southern portion of Lake Michigan into this weekend due to a front that remains in place south of the lake. Low pressure around 29.7 inches over Kansas will track to the northeast and east toward southern Lake Michigan into Saturday. This low should help to increase winds and waves across the southern two thirds of Lake Michigan into Saturday. Beyond this system, a broad ridge of high pressure around 30.1 inches will push into the Great Lakes early next week before another potential system moves through the region middle of next week.
