320 FZUS63 KMKX 280251 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 851 PM CST Thu Nov 27 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure of 29.4 inches over western Quebec will slowly move eastward through Friday with some weakening. Northwest winds continue. Occasional gale force gusts will continue over the northern third of the lake through around Midnight (Thanksgiving night), remaining gusty but just shy of gale force through Friday morning then gradually decelerating Friday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will then move across the lake Friday night with light and variable winds expected. Low pressure of 29.8 inches will then track from eastern Kansas Saturday morning to the southern tip of Lake Michigan Saturday night, and then reach Lake Huron by mid Sunday while deepening to 29.7 inches. Widespread, moderate to heavy snow will overspread the south half of Lake Michigan. Brisk southeast winds Saturday will become easterly and then westerly as the low crosses the Great Lakes region. Gales are not anticipated at this time, although a period of gusty northwest winds is expected Sunday.
