FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Southerly winds will increase into tonight as 29.4 inch low
pressure shifts northeast toward the Hudson Bay. A cold front will
move across Lake Michigan on Wednesday, bringing a generally
westerly wind shift across the lake. Periods of showers and
occasional thunderstorms will accompany the approaching/passing
surface front this afternoon through Wednesday morning. Severe
weather isn`t expected.

A new area of 30.1 inch high pressure will move from the northern
Great Plains across Lake Michigan Wednesday night through Thursday
night, bringing a period of light and variable winds to the
waters. The next area of 29.3 inch low pressure will shift from
the Canadian Great Plains across the Hudson Bay Friday afternoon
through Saturday night, bringing increasing southwest winds. A few
gale force gusts are possible during this time frame, particularly
over the northern third of Lake Michigan. Will be monitoring
trends through late week for possible headlines. A cold front will
move over Lake Michigan Sunday morning, bringing a northwest wind
shift to the waters.

occasionally to 8 ft.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West winds to 30 kt becoming northwest 15 to
25 kt, then diminishing to 10 to 20 kt late. Waves 3 to 5 ft.
.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt. Waves 2 to 4 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 15 kt veering to south. Waves
1 to 2 ft.
.FRIDAY...South winds 15 to 25 kt increasing to 30 kt. Waves 2 to
4 ft building to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...South winds to 30 kt. A few southerly gales to 35
kt are possible. Waves 5 to 8 ft occasionally to 10 ft.
.SATURDAY...Southwest winds to 30 kt. A few southwest gales to 35
kt are possible. Chance of showers. Waves 5 to 8 ft occasionally
to 10 ft subsiding to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
