333 FZUS63 KMKX 080152 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 852 PM CDT Fri Aug 7 2026 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure of 29.8 inches over Lake Superior this evening will move east toward Lake Ontario. An associated cold front will move east across the lake tonight with scattered showers and storms possible. West to northwest winds behind the front early Saturday will quickly return to southerly by Saturday evening ahead of the next approaching low pressure system. An unsettled weather pattern will set up over the Upper Great Lakes next week where weak waves of low pressure will cross the region and produce rounds of thunderstorms at times.
