FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

North winds will remain light and variable this morning as high
pressure around 30.3 inches moves across the lake. Low pressure
around 29.3 inches then moves from southern Manitoba through
northern Ontario today through Tuesday morning, bringing
increasing south-southeast winds this afternoon through tonight
and southerly winds into Tuesday. Gales are expected tonight into
Tuesday morning, and a Gale Warning is in effect. Periods of
thunderstorms will affect the Lake Monday evening into Tuesday as
well. Winds finally shift north-northeast Tuesday night into
Wednesday as high pressure around 30.3 inches builds
southeastward through the Upper Midwest. Winds remain north-
northeast through Thursday before shifting southerly by Friday.

.TONIGHT...South winds to 30 kt increasing to gales to 40 kt.
Showers likely in the evening, then showers and slight chance of
thunderstorms overnight. Waves 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft
building to 12 to 16 ft occasionally to 21 ft.
.TUESDAY...South gales to 40 kt becoming west gales to 35 kt.
Chance of showers in the morning. Waves 12 to 16 ft occasionally
