Saturday and Sunday

Surface high pressure will persist over the area for the weekend,
along with northeastward flow. High temperatures will remain in the
mid to upper 70s with nighttime lows in the mid 50s. Dry air near
the surface will keep dewpoints and humidity low. Mostly clear skies
will continue with lingering high level clouds. A lovely fall
weekend ahead with the cooler temps and dry conditions.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...

Monday - Friday Night

As the high pressure begins to shift east of the Ohio Valley on
Tuesday, southerly flow will return. This will lead to increasing
temperatures back into the mid 80s by mid week. Moisture will also
begin to advect back into the area rising dewpoints back into the
60s by Thursday.

A shortwave disturbance is expected to move through the Great Lakes
region, while a low pressure system develops over the Plains.
Frontal boundaries associated with both systems will bring precip
chances back into the forecast Wednesday and Thursday. Rain showers
will likely move through the northern half of the area as the
northern disturbance moves through. Additional rain showers are
expected to move across the area as the second boundary pushes
through. This could linger into Friday night as the low pressure
system begins to eject into the northern stream.

VFR conditions are expected to continue. High clouds will continue
to stream over western Kentucky today and through the overnight. Dry
conditions will help to prevent fog formation in the early morning.
Light northeasterly winds will become calm to light overnight and
pick back up by mid-morning.
