...AVIATION DISCUSSION UPDATED...

.KEY MESSAGES...

* Pleasant and dry weather continues through at least Tuesday with
  highs in the mid to upper 70s/low 80s and mostly clear skies.

* Temperatures will begin to warm back into the mid to upper 80s mid
  week ahead of rain chances returning late Thursday.

* A slow moving cold front will support soaking rainfall Friday
  through the weekend.

.SHORT TERM /THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/...

It is a rather nice day across the region due to sfc high pressure
and upper ridging over the Midwest. With crystal clear skycover
overhead, temps have warmed into the upper 70s for most locations.
Expect mostly clear conditions through the overnight, with temps
dropping down into the 50s.

More of the same is expected tomorrow as high pressure continues to
dominate the forecast. Temps should be a touch warmer tomorrow
afternoon as we get slightly more warm return flow wrapping around
from the high, with temps peaking in the low 80s for most.

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...

===== Wednesday - Thursday =====

Temperatures will continue to warm on Wednesday and Thursday as sfc
high pressure slides east and upper ridging amplifies over the
region. The departing sfc high will support a deeper warm air
advection flow. Temperatures will climb well into the 80s both days,
with another chance to hit 90 by Thursday. We`ll remain dry through
most of this time, but a shortwave riding across the Central US on
Thursday will push a cold front into the area by Friday. Ahead of
this front, we`ll see increasing clouds and rain chances arrive by
Thursday night across southern IN.

===== Rainy Period Friday through the Weekend =====

That cold front will pass through the area on Friday, bringing
increasing moisture, clouds, and our next area-wide rain chances.
Temperatures on Friday will range around 10 degrees north to south,
with the cooler temps staying in the upper 70s and lower 80s north
of the WK/BG Pkwys, but mid to upper 80s to the south where there
will be more time to warm up before the front arrives.

Soaking rain, with some embedded thunder, will remain possible
through the weekend as the front lingers across the TN Valley.
Severe threat remains low given the limited heating Saturday and
Sunday with temps in the 70s. With PWATS surging above 2 inches
during this time, moderate to heavy rainfall is possible. QPF
between Friday-Monday could exceed 2-4 inches, but luckily this
rainfall will be spread out across multiple days. We are in a
marginal risk for excessive rainfall by Friday, but expect that to
continue through the weekend too.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z WEDNESDAY/...

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the TAF period, with
the exception of patchy fog developing near HNB/LEX/RGA between 08z-
12z tonight. This will fade into a scattered layer of lower clouds
for LEX/RGA between 12-15z. Expect very low and variable winds that
prefer an easterly to northeasterly direction but are unlikely to
remain sustained in any particular direction overnight. These should
pick up to around 3-7 kt easterly winds tomorrow afternoon.
