...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Indiana, including the
  following counties, Floyd and Harrison.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1129 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible
    in the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Corydon, Elizabeth, New Middletown, Mauckport, Laconia, New
    Amsterdam, Dogwood, Seven Springs, Central and Breckenridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely and have them relay your report to the National
Weather Service in Louisville.
