.DISCUSSION...A weak cold front will drop across the region today, with
most locations seeing little more than a wind shift and increased cloud
cover as the front passes. A stray light rain shower or sprinkle is possible
this afternoon, though these are not expected to be impactful. With moisture
increasing along the front, mixing is not expected to be as deep this afternoon,
and relative humidity values may not fall as much as earlier this week.
However, stronger northerly winds behind the front will lead to better
dispersion values, especially across northern KY and southern IN this afternoon.
Dry weather and below normal temperatures are expected to continue through
Labor Day weekend, with the next significant chance for rain not expected
until next Tuesday and Wednesday.
