.DISCUSSION...An area of low pressure will move across the region later today,
bringing scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms through this evening.
A few strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out this afternoon and evening,
with the main threats being small hail and a spin-up tornado west of Interstate
65. Total rainfall amounts through Wednesday morning should range from around
0.25" across southern Kentucky to over 1" in northern Kentucky and southern
Indiana, with localized areas of 2+" possible. In addition to showers and storms,
low cloud cover will continue after rain ends Wednesday morning, likely resulting
in poor burning conditions through much of the rest of the week. While Wednesday
is expected to be mainly dry, additional waves of rain are expected Thursday
through Saturday.
