Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
406 PM EST Mon Dec 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...Milder temperatures and sunshine should return on Tuesday,
with southwest winds becoming gusty during the afternoon hours. Temperatures
should be able to warm into the mid-to-upper 40s Tuesday afternoon, with
milder low temperatures also expected Tuesday night. While increasing winds
should improve dispersion parameters on Tuesday, mixing heights will still
be somewhat suppressed, and relative humidity values will still be quite high.
Windy conditions will continue through Tuesday night into Wednesday, with
wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph likely. There is a chance for light rain showers
on Wednesday, though total precipitation amounts should be less than 0.10" in
most locations. Cooler temperatures return for Thursday, continuing into next
weekend.
