Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
440 PM EST Wed Dec 10 2025

.DISCUSSION...West-northwest winds this evening will gradually subside tonight
as high pressure moves south of the area. Isolated to scattered snow showers
and flurries are expected this evening and tonight, mainly along and east of
Interstate 65. After a mostly dry and cool day on Thursday, another system
will move through the region Thursday night, bringing a band of snow across
southern Indiana and northern Kentucky. Chances for accumulating snow have
increased today, especially north of Interstate 64. Fire weather conditions over
the next several days should generally be unfavorable, with high relative
humidity values, shallow mixing heights, and relatively lighter winds (after
tonight) expected.
