.DISCUSSION...A weak cold front approaching the region from the
northwest today will bring a slightly stronger southwest wind than
over the past several days. Mostly sunny skies should allow temperatures
to quickly warm later this morning, with highs around 80 degrees this
afternoon. There are favorable conditions for dry air to mix down to
the surface this afternoon, with minimum RH values likely to reach the
upper 20s and low 30s. Dispersion parameters will still be limited by
relatively light transport winds today, though good mixing heights
would be expected by late this morning. More dry weather is expected
during the day on Friday, with lighter winds out of the east and shallower
mixing heights expected. The next chance of rain is not expected until
Sunday.
