...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN NELSON...BULLITT
AND SOUTH CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 530 PM EDT...

At 442 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Shepherdsville, or 15 miles south of Louisville, moving southeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Shepherdsville, Pioneer Village, Hollyvilla, Fairdale, Hillview,
  Lebanon Junction, Hebron Estates and Fox Chase.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
