...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN BULLITT...
SOUTHWESTERN FLOYD...SOUTHEASTERN HARRISON AND SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON
COUNTIES UNTIL 5 PM EDT...

At 411 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pleasure Ridge Park, or 10 miles southwest of Louisville, moving
southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
  Louisville, Shively, Pioneer Village, Hollyvilla, South Park View,
  Valley Station, Pleasure Ridge Park, Pleasure Ridge Par and St.
  Dennis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
