725 FZUS61 KBUF 120902 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 402 AM EST Wed Nov 12 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 28.2 inch low will slowly advance northwards across Newfoundland today. Meanwhile, a weak 29.5 inch wave of low pressure will cross the Great Lakes. Another 29.2 inch low will develop south of Nova Scotia Thursday, then move north across the Canadian Maritimes Friday, remaining in place through Saturday. Meanwhile, a 30.1 inch high will then build from northwest Ontario province Friday to James Bay and the lower Great Lakes by Saturday.
