315 FZUS61 KBUF 171402 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 1002 AM EDT Tue Jun 17 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... An area of low pressure over the western Great Lakes will deepen to 29.3 inches today as it advances northeastward across eastern Ontario, Canada. This deepening low will encourage a warm front to lift near the Lake this afternoon. This low will further deepen to 29.2 inches Wednesday as it advances across Quebec, while leaving its cold front back across the central Great Lakes. A wave of low pressure averaging 29.5 is forecast to track northeast along this frontal boundary while dragging its cold front across the Lake Thursday afternoon. A 30.1 inch high builds northeast across the Lake Friday, and exits east of the Lake on Saturday.
