Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
A weak trough averaging 29.6 inches lingers over Lake Ontario
through tonight. On Thursday, the trough begins to exit eastward
while a ridge averaging 30.0 inches builds from the western Great
Lakes through Thursday night. The ridge exits slowly eastward Friday
through Saturday before a cold front sweeps eastward across Lake
Ontario on Sunday. In the wake of the cold frontal passage, a 30.0
inch high over the upper Great Lakes Sunday, will slowly build
southeast across the central and lower Great Lakes Sunday night
through Tuesday.
