519 FZUS61 KBUF 260203 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 1002 PM EDT Sat Jul 25 2026 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch surface high off the New England coast will slowly weaken as it drifts to the Gulf of Saint Lawrence Sunday. A 29.5 inch low will develop over the western Great Lakes Sunday night into Monday, before strengthening to 29.3 inches while moving southeast into the lower Great Lakes Monday night and Tuesday. A cold front associated with this low will swing across the lake late Tuesday and Tuesday night. The low will then weaken to 29.6 inches while drifting east into New England by Wednesday.
