Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
329 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure centered northeast of the Great Lakes will build
east through the remainder of the weekend, with the local area
remaining on it`s southwestern periphery. This will maintain dry
and seasonably mild weather across the region with winds gradually
shifting more southeasterly. Daily lake breezes will keep areas
near Lake Michigan a bit cooler, with afternoon temperatures
ranging from the 60s along the lake to the low to mid 70s well
inland. Afternoon relative humidity levels will dip as low as 35
percent well away from the lake Sunday afternoon. Winds will
become more southerly Monday, limiting any lake cooling to areas
closer to the shore. No widespread rainfall chances are evident
through early next week.
