.DISCUSSION...
Periods of rain will continue areawide today, gradually ending
from north to south through the evening and overnight hours as a
cold front moves across the area. The rain may be heavy at times
this afternoon and evening and include a low potential for a few
lightning strikes. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 to 2
inches will be possible, potentially locally higher along a narrow
corridor.
A multi-day break from measurable rainfall chances begins Friday
and continues through at least early next week with seasonably
cool temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s. Lower afternoon
relative humidity levels in the 30-50 percent range are also
forecast by the weekend away from the lakeshore.
