...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM CDT...

For the following areas...

  Nearshore Waters from Gary to Michigan City...
  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 305 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 nm north of Burns Harbor to near New Buffalo to 10
nm east of Michigan City, moving north at 45 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for northwestern
Indiana...and the adjacent waters of Lake Michigan.
